borrowed from the boys

Just another day at work. Told you that mirror would be back! I felt a little lazy this morning so I borrowed a super soft shirt from Novio. Guys clothes are definitely more comfortable! But tailored enough when tucked into skinny jeans to pass as work-wear. Also, check out how tan my feet look! I'm obsessed with Jergens Daily Glow Moisturizer...I haven't tanned the old fashion way in a while. Well except for that trip to the pool a few weeks ago...but still. Happy weekend everyone! I've got BIG THINGS to post at the end of this weekend so I hope you all enjoy! PS I cut 1.5 inches off my hair and changed the color! Can anyone tell?? xoxo

Oh and please excuse my face/facial expression...I dont wear makeup to work! I think I look a little "hippy" too...hopefully because I'm standing sort of bowlegged. Anyway enough critiquing myself!! :)

huaca pucllana-fine peruvian dining

Our primero comida en Peru. The restaraunt is stationed on an archaelogical site in Lima. In between dinner and dessert (which you can see were both delectable! I had sea bass and mi hermano had the tuna), we toured the temple ruins.

We met some people from DC, and together we wined and dined like a motley crue of temporary expatriates.

Definitely set the bar for the rest of the meals we ate!

*Side note, as you'll begin to see in the trip's pics, I took full advantage of NOT blow-drying or hairstyling my mane at all.. which those who know me, know that I rarely indulge and usually just let it airdry. BUT, being in a country so in tune with being outdoors, hiking, and living in sweats and basics I definitely took to channeling my inner/outer bohemian

a glimpse of the dark side

OK, I never write about brunettes, or any other non-blondes for that matter. I just don't. Alas, upon further research of the lovely Leigh Lezark I learned that she is an natural blonde. Crazy to imagine her that way, she's really nailed the goth glam look. Good enough for me, because I love her!

dior resort 2011

Dior never lets me down. This collection, unvieled in Shanghai, had quite an interesting spectrum--everything from sugary sweet pastels to skintight leather. Equal parts Grace Kelly and Rizzo from Grease. Needless to say, my favorite looks are more along the lines of the former, and something about the boxy cuts and oversize accents are remniscent of Elle's skirt suits and pillbox hats in Legally Blonde 2...in a good way!

ps-i love the super teased hair! so fun.
